Closeby attractions:
3 min drive to the beautiful bay of Palm Beach where you will find Arcadia restaurant for fine dining and the best fish and chips, and a convenience store which also sells hot coffees, delicious toasties, hand-scooped ice-creams and fruit smoothies.  A 10 minute drive to the car ferry at Kennedy Point and approximately a 15 min drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia.
There are some beautiful walks in the area as well as a playground at Palm Beach and free BBQ facilities.  Palm Beach is a beautiful sandy beach - safe swimming - so great for kids, great snorkeling, diving and home to plenty of boats in summer. If the wind is blowing in from the north you can get some good surf, but generally the water is calm. You can rent paddle boards through Watsup Waiheke Beach Rentals. They offer delivery options or arrangements for local bays.
