Palm Beach Lodge - Totara

Palm Beach Lodge’s largest unit, the Totara is connected to the upstairs Nikau apartment, and both are rented out together. This hillside Mediterranean-style duplex on the warm northern coastline of Palm Beach can comfortably accommodate up to 4 couples, 8 single guests or 2 families with 2 children each—pets are welcome too! Also being the highest, it commands the biggest views from just about every room.

Your lavish Waiheke holiday home is perfectly positioned for island spotting: Little Barrier Island lies on the horizon, and the Noises and Tiri Tiri Matangi are to the left. On your right is Nani Island, and in the foreground are Palm Beach and the ever-present sound of the sea. A 3-minute walk down a zigzagging path through a subtropical garden will lead you to Palm Beach, one of Waiheke’s loveliest, with pristine white sands and safe, calm seas suitable for swimming. There’s even a playground and complimentary BBQ facilities, making the Totara and Nikau an extremely affordable way for a larger group to live the good life.

King split bed in each bedroom, with walk-in wardrobes.  Rollaway beds available for additional guests. The western and upper bedrooms open out onto expansive decks and overlook the stunning northern beach views.

Bathrooms: 3 
1 bathroom has a bath, toilet, mirror, hand basin and heated towel rail. The other bathroom has a shower, mirror, basin and a built in laundry. The upstairs apartment has a shower and toilet.

Kitchen:
Full kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, coffee plunger and all cooking utensils.Kichenette upstairs.

Lounge: 
Open plan lounge with seating for 8, FREEVIEW TV,  DVD player, WIFI, carpeted, and electric heating, north facing and opening out to the large expansive decks.

Dining room: 
Dining for 8 open plan. 

Laundry:
Laundry facilities with washer, dryer. Linen and bath towels provided. 

Outdoor facilities:
Fully landscaped garden oasis.  Off street parking.  Large north facing decks with outside table and chairs, shade umbrella, sun loungers and deckchairs.   Private gas BBQ. 

Closeby attractions: 
5 min walk to beautiful Palm Beach, Palm Beach Fish and Chip shop and covenience store. The Lookout Restaurant & Bar is located up the hill from Palm Beach. A 10 minute drive to the car ferry at Kennedy Point and approximately an 8 min drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia.
There are some beautiful walks in the area as well as a playground at Palm Beach and free bbq facilities.  Palm Beach is a beautiful sandy beach - safe swimming so good for kids, great snorkeling, diving and home to plenty of boats in summer.  If the wind is blowing in from the north you can get some good surf, but generally the water is calm.

• We recently celebrated my mother's 70th Birthday on Waiheke Island and stayed here for 2 nights as a group. The apartment was very spacious and had magnificent sea views from every bedroom. The owner answered questions promptly and even came to change over the gas bottle for the bbq for us. We would come back again.

• Just a note to thank you for a lovely Easter - a beautiful place for everyone to gather and still have their own space, the weather so warm (and the sea so blue) that those who had not gone prepared to swim in April had to fossick among their own (and others') suitcases to find something half suitable to wear, and of course, the wineries were so much fun.  We appreciated your having taken the trouble to give us the heads up when we arrived.  By chance, we ended up at Stoney Batter on Good Friday and did lunch and a 'tasting' at Man o War Winery - very enjoyable and thank you for your 'gift' bottle from the same place - beautiful.

• Amazing house in an amazing location. Great few days spent at the house. Inside everything was as expected, nice and clean, plenty of room and furnishings, and the four bedrooms generous in size offering comfortable living. The outside deck areas were highlights though with a nice big outdoor table and a BBQ that got a lot of use as we soaked up the magical views over looking the Palm Beach. The track down to the beach area was also well trodden with swims in the beautiful water only minutes away.
