Overlooking the pristine waters of secluded Sandy Bay and the Hauraki Gulf, this hidden gem nestles in a sunny, verdant oasis just 50 metres from golden sand. This property is a veritable paradise for either a young family, or for couples seeking privacy and romance far from the madding crowds. You are perfectly positioned to embrace the simple pleasures of life by the beach! Relax and enjoy quality time on the large sun-drenched deck and listen to the waves or pop down for a swim at the safe all-tide swimming beach or unwind beneath the trees while the children play in the spacious garden!  And there's more: just around the corner is Enclosure Bay, a huge natural swimming pool at high tide, with waters warmed by the sun.

This charming cottage is peaceful and private, stylish and yet still retains the quintessential bach charisma. There is an open plan kitchen, dining & living area, with a wood burner to keep you warm in winter and an elegant indoor bathroom to meet your every need. There is also a separate and unique outdoor bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and califont; you will love it! The bedroom has a super comfy double bed, and the bunks are suitable for three to fifteen year olds.

From this location, equidistant from Oneroa Bay and Palm Beach, you can launch your own boat and enjoy a spot of fishing. You can hire SUP boards at Palm Beach for a change of pace or explore the many, fabulous walking tracks in the area. A short drive will take you to Oneroa village with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, library and art galleries to indulge the senses. You are close to wineries, the golf course and the supermarket: it is the ideal base to explore the wonders of Waiheke.

The bedroom has a double bed, bed-side tables and a bunk bed that can accommodate 3 to 15 year olds.

The main bathroom has an open shower, toilet, bath and vanity. A separate outdoor bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and califont. 

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and coffee plunger. The open plan kitchen opens out onto a north-facing deck.

The lounge area has seating for 4 with a coffee table and blue tooth speaker, DVD player, WIFI internet, an oil heater and a wood burner (there is a large 40 inch flat screen TV in the bedroom).

Dining:
The dining room accommodates 4 comfortably. 

Laundry:
There is a laundry with a washing machine and laundry tub under the house. All linen is supplied, except beach towels. 

Outdoor facilities:
The deck is north-facing, with views over Sandy Bay visible from the garden. The deck has outdoor furniture, including a table with seating for 6  an umbrella, shade cloth; Weber BBQ and califont outside the kitchen. 2 kayaks are available for use. There is a garage available for 1 car and off-street parking for 1 car.

Closeby attractions:
Sandy Bay is a safe and secluded all-tide swimming beach, where you can also launch your boat. Picturesque Enclosure Bay is a gentle 5-minute walk away, and there are many other beautiful walks close by. Sandy Bay is close to Palm Beach and Oneroa Beaches, a short drive to Oneroa village with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, library and art galleries, and close to wineries, golf course and the supermarket. 10-minute drive to the car ferry and an 8-minute drive to the passenger ferry servicing downtown Auckland.

• Having the beach basically at the end of the driveway was awesome. Such a lovely spot away from the busier parts of Waiheke. It's a really cute and private location to relax and unwind.If I could change anything it would just be to have a larger bed. In the height of summer it was a bit hot and sweaty sharing the bed.

• We were fortunate to be able to book this lovely cottage on the wonderful island of Waiheke. The location was perfect equidistant to the villages of Oneroa and Ostend. A perfect little beach was just below a very steep driveway, which we gradually got used to. The cottage was very comfortable, but the furnishings need to be refurbished. Very comfortable bed! No AC, but was never needed. Good ventilation. Outside deck and excellent umbrella was wonderful place to relax, and eat meals. Great big table and comfortable chairs. We would definitely stay again! • Cute, very quiet, cozy old rustic cabin surrounded by lush greenery and birds. The kitchen and bathroom are updated and well equipped. It’s on a large property with lots of outdoor space and a peek a boo view to the cove below and sunsets.

• My partner and I loved our stay in this gorgeous quaint cottage set in lush NZ bush. The living/bedroom areas are spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The bathroom is fantastic, and the kitchen well-appointed. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities is much appreciated. You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and feel right at home. We would love to stay here again on our next visit!
