Bayview Retreat

Situated atop a ridge, this spacious 4-bedroom holiday rental boasts a huge upper deck offering commanding views of the Gulf Islands, Coromandel, North Shore and Auckland’s eastern bays. A premium Waiheke accommodation for groups of up to 9, it’s both luxuriously appointed and lushly landscaped, so you’ll love your time inside and out.

A large garden planted with lavender and olive and lemon trees provides a peaceful sanctuary while plenty of off-street parking and room for a boat makes it convenient for friends and family to stay. Three of 4 bedrooms open onto outdoor areas, where you can BBQ or nap in a hammock.

Relax and unwind in smartly furnished open-plan surroundings or venture to Little Oneroa Beach (just 10 minutes’ walk), Sandy Bay or Hekerua Bay. At Little Oneroa, you’ll find takeaways, a dairy and Dragonfired wood-fired pizza. Walk 5 minutes to the bus stop or 20 minutes Oneroa Village, the island’s main thoroughfare, with its many shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Cable Bay and Mudbrick vineyards are also just a short drive away.

Master bedroom upstairs with a Queen bed, built-in wardrobe, beside tables and lamps. THe other 3 bedrooms are downstairs with a 2 Queen beds, and the 4th bedroom with a set of bunks and a single bed.

Upstairs bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity with heated towel rail. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, vanity, heated towel rail and a separate toilet.

Kitchen:
A fully equipped kitchen with electric stove and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine (please supply your own capsules) and coffee perculator. There is a kitchen bar bench with 4 bar stools for those early morning meals.

Lounge:
FREEVIEW TV, 2 couches, DVD player, Bose IPOD dock, with 2 electric heaters and 2 oil heaters in the house.

Dining room:
Dining room table with seating for 8-10

Laundry:
Downstairs with washing machine, washing tub, (dryer in the garage), outside clothes line, iron and ironing board. All linen and cleaning included.

Outdoor Facilities:
Decks with seaviews, outdoor entertaining area off the lounge and dinning room, BBQ, large outdoor table and bench seats, umbrella, off street parking for 3+ cars, parking for boat, and a garage.

Closeby Attractions:
Little Oneroa is only an 8-10 min walk, where one can get a paper and a hot flat white.

Oneroa is only a 20 min walk away. Try the Solar Lounge for a scrumptous Waiheke breakfast. Mudbrick Vineyard and Cable Bay vineyard are a mere 5 and 10 minute drive away. Stroll into Oneroa village with a variety of shops, banks, the post office, gas station, Information centre, cafes, restaurants and bars including: The Oyster Inn, Sand Bar, Fenice, Wai Kitchen, The Cove, The Red Crab, Vino Vino, Oneroa Beach Club and Oceanview Fish and Chips. The village also includes various Art Centres, a Four Square supprette, Fruit & Veg shop and 2 liquor stores. Oneroa village is the only place you will find ATM machines.

• Thank you for the accommodation. The whare was excellent, clean, tidy and spacious. Instructions for finding the place and getting inside were easy to follow. Thank you for the wine, it was a lovely way to start our break. We took advantage of the short walk to Little Oneroa (and the excellent Dragonfire pizzas) and enjoyed the swimming. The sound system and the wifi were excellent. We had a wonderful long weekend on Waiheke. We went fishing with Fishing Waiheke. As you said, an older boat, but we had the most outstanding day fishing. Our haul was 32, and very large snappers. The shark encounter when were filleting was an added bonus. I would highly recommend them for anyone else looking for a charter.

• Some friends and I stayed at Bayview Retreat to celebrate my birthday, and even though the weather was TERRIBLE we still had a lovely time. The house was just what we needed - a short walk to the bus stop, plenty of pots and pans for cooking, and killer views out all upstair windows. We would love to come back when there is some sunshine as this house is amazing.

• Richard war ein super Gastgeber, bei Fragen schnell und einfach erreichbar. Das Haus hatte eine wunderschöne Aussicht, man ist zu Fuss innert 15min im Ort Oneroa wo man alles findet zum Einkaufen und Essen gehen. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt im Haus welches sauber war und viel Platz bietet. Würde sofort wieder buchen.

• What a great place to stay. Amazing views across the island with multiple different bays and islands all around. An excellent deck for entertaining with plenty of room for the BBQ. The hob wasn't working when we were there but a temporary one was dropped off the next day for us to use. We would certainly stay there again as it suited the three couples with upstairs and down stairs accommodation.

• The house is amazing, views are impeccable. Rooms are just a perfect size with 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet that is great for a big family or extended family.Not far from Oneroa and the bus stop isn’t far at all if Taxi’s are too expensive. I would totally recommend a car when here so you can go to the supermarket and get the essentials you need.

• We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in oneroa at Bayview Retreat this weekend. The weather really came to the party for us! We especially loved happy hour on the deck with the beautiful view, spacious lounge which was great for kids and comfortable and clean rooms. Bit of a walk to the beach (back home all uphill) but worth it once you're there. Can get a bit hot on the deck with no shade but was excellent for short stints outside in the sun. Will definitely stay again.

• Amazing views and great open plan living.
  Amazing views, lovely light filled rooms. All you can hear in the mornings is the birdlife. The open plan kitchen/living area was really easy going. We BBQ’d quite a lot on the deck (photos do not do it justice) and the back garden was perfect for lounging around in under the trees.
  Overall a really easy and enjoyable place to stay, lots and lots of book reading on the deck went down. Would definitely recommend.

The house captures all the amazing things of Waiheke with the panoramic views of the island from its large deck. The house is no less than 5 minutes from the main town square. It is a hidden gem on a beautiful island. Highly recommended.
