As you sun yourself on the grassy hilltop overlooking beautiful Onetangi Beach, you’re bound to feel blessed. Rich in history, this original weatherboard bach once housed the island’s church. Now fully refurbished and updated with all the mod cons, the luxurious home still retains touches of its past, including a stained glass porthole window and cross motifs.

At this 3-bedroom Waiheke holiday house, you and up to 5 more guests will be treated to incredible panoramic views of the Coromandel Peninsula and Great Barrier Island plus a fantastic indoor-outdoor flow. See the sea from just about every living area through oversized windows and glass doors that open onto the lawn and outdoor dining area, with seating for 8. An open plan includes a spacious lounge with a fireplace and piano, the perfect setup for family bonding year-round.

Enjoy walking, swimming, fishing and surfing at Waiheke’s best beach and go wine tasting at renowned vineyards nearby, including Miro, Stonyridge, Obsidian, Te Motu and Tantalus. This is island life at its finest.

Master bedroom with Split King bed. Doors open to outside decking and lawn. 2nd bedroom has a Split King bed. 3rd bedroom has a set of bunks.

Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, coffee plunger, toaster and dishwasher.  

Lounge:
Generous open plan seating set up in two distinct areas: includes piano, TV (with Freeview), DVD, iPod dock, books and games. 

Dining room: 
Fireplace and a large table that seats 8. Sliders open to outside decking and lawn.

Laundry:
Fully equipped laundry facilities with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Linen and bath towels provided. 

Outdoor facilities:
Outside shower with hot water, BBQ, large outdoor dinning table and benches, sunlounges and beanbags. Off street parking for 2 cars and room for a small trailer.  Golf Clubs & Kayak available for use.  Please bring your own life jacket/s.

Closeby attractions:
Set high above Onetangi Beach, one of the longest beaches on Waiheke, which is great for walking, surfing, fishing, safe swimming and white sand that stretches from one side to the other. 
You'll find Charley Farleys and Fourth Avenue Cafe along the Onetangi beachfront. Just up from the beach is a childrens playground and the only gas station in Onetangi with a liquor store and takeaway shop. The property is close to Stony Ridge Vineyard and Casita Miro.

• Beautiful location and property, lovely large living area and great table for group dinners, the outside was stunning and it was simply a wonderful place to stay. Great facilities and book supply, only issue we had was no dishwasher tablets or dish washing liquid, but such a minor issue easily remedied. We would definitely stay again.

• We had a great time at the Church House. The view from the garden is to die for and the house itself is lovely and spacious. It's five minutes walk to the beach via a steep set of steps called Jacob's Ladder or a slightly longer walk through bush. The kids particularly loved the swing and the outdoor beanbags and I loved the selection of books.
